After 10 amazing years, our journey with SNAP weddings has come to a close. We believe we have had the most amazing clients and weddings in the WORLD. You have taken us through the Canadian rockies, into the Pacific ocean, through countless canola fields,  thick forests, abandoned homes, caves, and on SO MANY road trips. To Cuba, Mexico, Italy and even Africa!

Mike and I got to travel and work with our close friends Kevin & Ashley along the way who produced the most incredible creative videos.  Memories we will never forget! (Mostly good ones 😉 )

We have learned so much. We have loved capturing your love stories and now we will have memories to last a lifetime.

As our time with SNAP weddings comes to a close, I would like to invite you to come along on a new creative journey with me as I team up with my amazing sister Amanda Moilliet and one of my dearest long time friends Kim Kitchen to bring to you a brand new photography business!

I had so much fun walking around the adorable and chic neighbourhood of Bridgeland in Calgary, Alberta with Madison and Ryan back in August for their engagement photo session!

It was the perfect summer evening for cocktails on the Cannibale Outdoor Patio, and a walk in Reader Rock Garden when all the flowers were in full bloom! The store fronts at Blue Star Diner & Bridgeland Market  Madison & Ryan frequently visit on their dates made for adorable backdrops for their images.

I am already feeling excited for these long warm sunny days, as I am sure many of you are too! If you haven’t checked out this new up and coming neighbourhood – I would absolutely recommend you plan a date their soon!

Madison & Ryan are getting married THIS Saturday – and the SNAP photo team is looking forward to capturing what I already know will be such a fun day with this wonderful couple along with their friends & family.

We’ve got some fantastic photo locations lined up for their big day & we are feeling inspired and excited to shoot our first wedding of 2016!

This beautiful couple is getting married this summer, and we are so happy they chose SNAP to photograph their wedding! I am looking forward to capturing their wedding at the Fairmont Palliser in September.

I have no doubt it’s going to be one of our favourite weddings to capture!

Here’s a few images from one of our favourite Calgary locations… Inglewood.  It’s no secret we can’t get enough of this neighbourhood!

Today we are excited to share with you one of our absolute favourite weddings that never landed on the blog in the midst of one of our busiest seasons.   There are so many things I loved about this wedding, mostly the awesome, fun, loving and creative couple!

We had such an incredible day with these two and their family and friends. The weather was PERFECT, with that incredible warm summer sun and prairie breeze. Amaris envisioned her photos taking place in a barn, so Mike and I looked all over Cochrane for a picturesque barn to suit her vintage modern style. I myself LOVE shooting in barns, so I was excited to take on the challenge of finding the perfect spot. We were thrilled when we found this incredible property out in the country and bravely walked past the scary big watch dog to knock on the door of the strangers home. To our delight, we found the most wonderful accommodating lady! She was thrilled to host us that upcoming weekend for photos! It was such a lovely surprise when we climbed into the loft of the barn to find the perfect lighting and stacked hay bails that had our creative vision running at full speed! Amaris’ style and design is so very pinterest worthy, you will swoon over every little thoughtful detail!

If you love Amaris’ style, you are definitely going to want to check out her awesome style blog at Amaris & Joel now have the cutest little daughter  that will make your heart melt. She of course is a star on Amaris’ blog! Without further ado, grab a coffee and enjoy this laid back and fun summer wedding at the Links at Gleneagles Golf Course in Cochrane, Alberta!

This wonderful couple got married in Orvieto, Italy in October and Mike and I were fortunate enough to photograph their beautiful wedding. Orvieto is just two hours outside of Rome, and it is absolutely gorgeous. I would highly recommend getting married in Orvieto if you are looking to get married in Italy and want incredible pictures without having to dodge as many tourists and vehicles! So many fantastic places to take pictures, Gorgeous Cathedrals and all the Italian charm in town surrounded by wine country as far as the eye can see! Before the wedding day, Mike and I met up with Lisa & Wade and their beautiful daughter Elizabeth to do some exploring and of course… dining. We had so much fun with these three – and we are forever grateful to have been a part of this experience! Here are a few favourites from our “day before” wedding shoot. It is amazing just how much we can love our pets, isn’t it? Some of us so much that we couldn’t bare the thought of leaving these furry family members out on the Big Day! Well, it seems that our creative brides and grooms have found a way to have them included in the celebration. Whether it’s posing for a photo in the morning of the wedding, including them in engagement photo sessions or actually making them a part of the event, we have loved being there to snap these images through the years. Having your dog at the event brings an uncontrollable element to the wedding day

that we just so happen to love! We love when our bride & grooms are open and confident to just let things be unscripted and real! It gives way for the most heart felt wedding days. Let the tears flow, go ahead and LAUGH, whisper what you want to say to each other at the alter, be present in the moment! Kristy & Gavin did just that! Cooper, the sweet Bernese Mountain dog Cooper helped break the ice and loosen up nerves by giving everyone a great laugh.

I am incredibly happy that my dear long time friend Keira has found a match beyond what I could have imagined for her in James!  The two of them shared an incredibly romantic sunset elopement on Kukio beach near Kailua-Kona in Hawaii back in December and surprised their friends and family by announcing their wedding reception date via stylish mail arriving from Hawaii.

This summer I had the pleasure of photographing their beautiful outdoor wedding reception party in Tsawassen, B.C at the Cammidge House.

After much persuasion Keira even made a short appearance in her stunning wedding dress so all the ladies could swoon!!

Keira is without doubt one of the most beautiful people I know.  She has a heart of gold!  Creativity also comes so naturally to her, so I was excited to see how she pulled together her creative vision.  We share a common desire for all things tropical and beachy, so even though she kept things laid back and simple – I loved all the little details. The evening was so much fun!

Congratulations Keira & James!  Wishing you a lifetime of increasing laughter & friendship!

Dennis and Kayla got married on Wednesday at the Camp Qwanoes guest house on Vancouver Island. It was a joy to watch these two say their I do’s under an apple tree in the warm sun while their friends and family cheered them on.  These two have such beautiful hearts, and we are so happy for them to start their lives together as husband and wife!

We loved how this laid back, barefoot bride dreamed up a wedding where everyone could just relax and enjoy themselves.  The kids of the guests ran around and had fun on the property while the father of the bride and father of the groom served up BBQ burgers.  Everyone was smiling, and we loved how everything came together so beautifully!

Wishing you all the best Dennis & Kayla!!

There are so many wonderful memories surrounding Kristin & Nathan’s wedding.  The day before the wedding, the SNAP team got up early and drove up to Rocky Mountain House together.  We hadn’t photographed a wedding in the area before, so we spent our afternoon walking down beautiful trails by the river and soaking in the warm sun and good conversations with our friends and videographers Kevin & Ashley!  We found some fantastic photo/video locations to work with at the Rocky Mountain House National Historic Site.  The weekend was a great little getaway for our team! We tucked ourselves in at our B&B in the woods and had a relaxing evening by the campfire going over our final plan for the following day.  The wedding day itself was so wonderful.  Kristin and Nathan have such down to earth, warm personalities and we had such a fun day with them and their bridal party!

Our new friends at the Historic Site were so hospitable and were able to help us with our creative vision by building a fire for Kristin & Nathan. There was a girl scouts camp weekend happening at the campsite while we were there,  so we agreed not to get in their way. It’s not too often brides have to use an outhouse… well THIS beautiful, down to earth bride had to line up in the woods behind a bunch of little girls on her wedding day!  The girls were pretty excited when they noticed there was a bride behind them!

Kristin & Nathan, we hope you two are spending time cherishing each other!

Continue to dance and create fun wherever you go!
Wishing you all the best,

SNAP has had the privilege of working with some of the most carefree, sweetest, beautiful, creative, in-love, and FUN couples.

SNAP has the best clients, we really do!

We have many wonderful friendships and memories that have been created through the years with you!

This year we enjoyed photographing weddings  in Victoria,  Calgary, Vancouver, Thetis Island, Duncan, Canmore, Courtney, Victoria, Squamish, Havana City, Varadero, and on Salt Spring Island!

It has been an adventure scouting out beautiful locations and interesting backdrops  to create beautiful images to last a lifetime. We often remind ourselves that we have one of the most amazing jobs in the world, and we couldn’t be more thankful for your support and kind words.
